5-channel repeater for PROFIBUS DP networks with cable redundancy option and Diagnostic slave (6 segments)  Description: The ProfiHub B5+RD is a flexible robust 6 segments multi channel repeater for PROFIBUS DP Installations, to implement long multidevice segments, backbone structures with star/tree/line topology and to create cable redundant segments. It can be cascaded without limitations and has increased RS-485 strength. The data is constantly monitored for glitches which are digitally filtered out. Every channel has built-in switchable termination and is able to drive 31 devices.To save costs on plugs and offer flexibility, it contains removable screw terminals as well as DB9 connectors. The DB9 connector is also provided on each channel for the use of monitoring. The redundant power supply and cable redundancy option enable applications where high availability is required. The user has to provide the ProfiHub with a software bus address (set slave address function). By means of the GSD file the user can configure the data that is required from the ProfiHub.
